About

The most important part of my life is my family and friends. I have two older sisters and two younger brothers. My parents are still alive- my father @ 88 is hale and hearty as my mother is @ 87. I feel blessed and lucky that they are still alive and relatively well. They have close friends that they spend time with which I think keeps them young and healthy. They laugh a lot and care so much for others.

I have been married for 24 years to a very loving man. We have one son who is in his 3rd year of college studying digital media. We also have a Belgian Malinois dog named Hayley and a cat named Furball which aptly is what she looks like.

I am career and community oriented. I have been a library media specialist for over 35 years and have lived in the same community for 33 years. I have been involved in national , state and local committees and organizations. I have recently been elected as a Justice of the Peace and look forward to serving at the local level.

I love to read, write and travel. I have traveled to 45 states in the US and traveled to 14 different countries. I spend two summers in Thailand looking at education in the schools. In 2006 I was given the opportunity to teach reading strategies to high school students and to work with teachers developing their knowledge of the literacy strategies that we use at our school.

I also work as a library automation trainer for a major library software company. This is especially rewarding as I love working with my peers and I love libraries, automation and computers.

I am originally from PA but have lived in NYC, UT and traveled or worked in 45 states.  I have lived in VT for 33 years and really love this state, the people and the community of friends I have made over the years.
